The Panama TESOL Annual Convention offers English language teaching professionals and scholars the opportunity for professional development. Educators and scholars from all over the country, both, public and private sector, exchange ideas and practices, explore a wide range of topics and current trends, expand their professional networks, engage in mentoring on research and other projects, review the latest professional publications and resources, and learn about advocacy efforts in their community and around the world.

Proposal Requirements

It may not be edited after the submission deadline.

To allow for blind review, the proposal title, abstract, and description may not include information which identifies the presenter(s), including names and affiliated institutions.

For proposals with multiple presenters, all presenters must agree to participate prior to the submission of a proposal.

Proposals which promote commercial interests will be disqualified.

A presenter may submit multiple proposals, but each proposal must be submitted individually and represent a separate presentation. A single or substantially similar proposal may not be submitted to multiple strands.

    Abstract: Length of Abstract: Your abstract must be between 50 and 60 words (*)
    Have you presented this topic before (*)
    Session Type: You must indicate what type of session you wish to present (see Types of Presentation in Section 2 below). The proposals committee will look at your preference but may program your presentation differently if they feel it’s appropriate. Successful speakers will be informed of their session type in their acceptance letter emailed at the end of (include the date). (*)
    Audience Focus: You must indicate the audience focus (Higher education, college-level, high school, middle school, elementary, PK) (*)

    Grounds for Disqualification The proposal will be immediately disqualified if: It Is incomplete or does not follow the instructions in this Call for Proposals. Includes identifying information for the presenter(s) such as names and institutions in the title, abstract, or description. Promotes commercial interests. It iIs submitted to multiple strands, whether the proposals are identical or substantially similar. It is plagiarized.
